Europe enacted a new “transparency” rule protecting travelers from all hidden taxes, fees and charges from being added to airline tickets without the traveler's consent. This will aid travelers in shopping for the best rates. Any optional supplements must be communicated in an unambiguous way, allowing passengers to refuse optional charges. Look for the U.S. to follow.
